Ayahuasca Dieta
An Ayahuasca dieta is not a retreat. It is a covenant with a plant: simple food, silence, ceremony, shaped around what you carry. You come when you are called.
What is an Ayahuasca dieta?
A personal dieta in the Amazonian tradition is the practice of taking a non-psychoactive plant several times a day, over an extended period of time, so that you can learn the essence of that plant. The plant is there to teach you: through your dreams, and through the visions that come in Ayahuasca ceremony.
A plant dieta is meant to do three things
Cure the body
Heal the mind
Gain wisdom
How the Ayahuasca dieta works
You drink Ayahuasca a couple of times a week. The rest of the time you'll participate in yoga, meditation, and jungle walks, in a group or on your own, with a lot of silence as you process the plants. Fasting is part of the path as well.
Who this is for
Many people who have drunk ayahuasca on weekend retreats are looking for a more immersive experience, a way to deepen their knowledge of the plants. Others have begun the path of studying with ayahuasca, have done dietas before, and are seeking to explore the dieta in a more comfortable environment with a different teacher. This is what our program is for.
Those ready for deeper, quieter work are welcome with or without prior ceremony experience. An honest conversation during application decides together whether the Ayahuasca dieta is your door.
